LankaSolve is a one-person, independent site. You can read every guide and use every calculator without an account. We use two analytics tools to see how the site is used, and a form service to receive messages you choose to send. There are no ads, and we don't sell or share your data for marketing. What we collect
Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 tells us how many people visit, which pages they read and how they found the site. It records things like the page, your approximate location (country and city), your device and browser, and the site that sent you. It also records a few actions on the page, without anything that identifies you:
- using a calculator, and which one
- starting or finishing the driving licence mock exam, your score and whether you passed
- clicking a link to the "If you live abroad" section of a guide
- answering "Was this page helpful?" with Yes or No
- the words you type into the homepage search
Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) to tell visits apart. Our Google Analytics property keeps this data for 14 months. Google signals, which links visits to signed-in Google accounts for advertising, is turned off. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.
Cloudflare
Cloudflare hosts the site. Like any web host, it processes your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits and measures how fast pages load. Cloudflare says Web Analytics does not collect or use your visitors' personal data. The request form
If you use the request form, we receive what you type: the request type, the page it's about, your message, and your name and email address if you choose to give them. Both name and email are optional; we only need an email address if you'd like a reply.
The form is run by Web3Forms, which emails your message to us. Web3Forms says it stores form submissions on Amazon Web Services for up to 3 years, operates from India, and may send your IP address and email address to the spam filters CleanTalk and Akismet. We keep the email in our inbox for as long as we need it to act on your request or reply.
If you write to hello@lankasolve.lk, we use your message and address only to reply and to act on what you've told us.
What we don't do
- No ads, and no advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No accounts or sign-ups.
- We don't sell your data or share it for marketing.
- The site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser. Checklists and calculators work in the page and forget what you entered when you leave.
- Fonts are served from our own site, so loading a page doesn't contact a font service.
- Guides link to official government websites. When you follow those links, their own privacy policies apply.
Your choices
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works fully without them.
- Opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google's opt-out browser add-on, or use a browser or extension that blocks analytics.
- Ask about a message you sent us, or ask us to delete it, by writing to hello@lankasolve.lk. For the copy Web3Forms holds, you can also contact Web3Forms at support@web3forms.com.
Using the information on LankaSolve
LankaSolve is an independent information site. It is not run by, or linked to, the Government of Sri Lanka. We check fees, forms and rules against official sources and date them, but they can change without notice. Calculator results are estimates, not quotes or official assessments. Before a payment, a legal step or an official filing, confirm with the government office concerned or a qualified professional. See how we verify information.
